Integrated Version and Authoring Control

Tina is tightly coupled with AutoCAD ensuring tight yet unobtrusive version control while Drafters get their work done. Every time a Drafter saves a DWG file, the file version in Tina is updated. This means: no misplaced files, broken Xrefs and version uncertainty. And everyone always has access to the latest save.

Parent and Xref Relationship Insight

Parent and Xref Relationship Insight

Tina provides a window into the relationships that exist between Xrefs and their Parent drawing(s) and vice versa. This makes it easy for Drafter’s to find the drawings they need to work on. It also makes it easy to assess the impact of a proposed design change.

Automatically Update Xref and Parent Relationships on Version Up of Either

Tina’s version control framework automatically tracks and updates the Xref and Parent relationships when Drafter’s revise or update either.

Tina metadata, DWG properties and Title block information automatically synchronized

Tina metadata, DWG properties and Title block information automatically synchronized

Tina can be quickly configured to tightly control drawing information (metadata) that is important to you. Fields and data automatically propagate to the DWG file’s properties which can, in turn, feed information in the drawing Title Block. This means that drawing metadata in Tina, DWG properties and title block information are synchronized, always match and are controlled by Tina.

Associate PDF Prints with DWG Files

It’s common to make a PDF print of a DWG prior to processing or release - but the relationship between the two is quickly lost. Drafters can use Tina to link the PDF print to the DWG as a subfile establishing a clear and definitive relationship between the two. This operation can also be done in bulk.

Limit DWG File Access

Limit DWG File Access

Tina can be configured so that only Drafter’s can access the DWG drawing file and everyone else can only access the PDF drawing print. This controls leakage of DWG files which may be altered by non-drafters thereby creating version uncertainty.

Paperless Drawing Review and Approval Process

Tina’s workflow engine can be leveraged to move PDF prints of drawings around for review. Reviewers can view, add notes and provide feedback directly to the PDF print using free third party applications like Adobe Reader. Tina’s workflow engine automatically collects and organizes all feedback provided.

Rapid Submittal Processing

Rapid Submittal Processing

Drawings received as submittals from outside sources that are DWG or PDF files can be quickly uploaded into Tina along with metadata and Xref relationships. If earlier versions of the drawings already exist in Tina, the drawings received will be automatically added as the latest to each drawing’s version thread.

Streamline Your Transmittal Process

Because Tina tracks Parent to Xref relationships, a folder full of complete and correct files to be transmitted can be rapidly assembled. A transmittal record can be automatically created within Tina – this record includes a ‘Tree’ of all files transmitted.

No More Folders

No More Folders

Folders are a pain to create and maintain for projects old and new. With Tina, you can move on from this outdated approach to organizing your drawing files. With Tina, Xref paths are always intact and drawings will be quickly found using Tina’s potent search capabilities.

No More Broken Xrefs

Parent and Xref relationships are managed through AutoCAD (as usual), but controlled through Tina. In addition, when a drafter is going to work on a Parent, all Xrefs will be automatically sync’d to their desktop. With Tina, Drafters will never see ‘Unresolved Reference Files’ messages when opening a DWG that is a Parent.
